Women's C2 League
Emilie Goegan
2025 Captain
Laura joined the Hens in their inaugural 2018 team and quickly found her place in the team as the 'hype girl' and spirit leader. It wasn't unheard of walking into the game day change rooms to see Laura with her speaker in hand, dance moves in full swing and pump up chat on tap.
Laura carried this spirit over with her into the 2019 season, setting the standard for team morale and social inclusion. In 2020 and 2021 we saw Laura voted in by her teammates as Captain and again for the 2022 season.

Leaders
Simon Maxwell
Head Coach
Simon is a true clubman and brings passion, a keen eye for the game and strong people skills to the Womens Head Coach role. He has an impressive coaching CV with over 10 years experience across a number of clubs and levels of football.
From junior clubs to WAFL development, as well as Colts coaching with South Fremantle Football Club, there isn’t much Simon hasn’t seen in the football world.
Simon has been with the Cottesloe Roosters since 2016 and his contribution in whichever role he steps into is of the highest calibre. Never was this more on display than when he stepped in as Blues Head Coach toward the end of the 2019 season and led them to four wins from five games, including a victory in the Earl Murphy Cup against our cross-town rivals, Mosman Park. He coached the League side until the end of Season 2022, when he switched to being the Women’s head coach
We are excited to see what Simon will achieve in his third full year at the helm as Womens Head Coach.
