Duncan Moore first joined the Roosters in 2020 after moving to Cottesloe from Melbourne to follow a career opportunity. It quickly became clear that the Club had a player on its hands, with his speed, ability to win one-on-one contests and elite skills, all early standout features of Duncan’s game.
This was topped only by Duncan’s warm and inviting character and impact off-field, as a loveable larrikin who brings everyone along for the ride. His teammates picked him to help lead them in just his first year at the Club, and after a brief hiatus back to Melbourne in 2021, Duncan picked up where he left off and was voted as Co-Captain alongside Tim. We’re extremely excited to see where this year will take him.

Tim Watkins, AKA Watto, is another born and bred Victorian; but it didn’t take him long to call Cottesloe home. Watto learned his craft amongst competitive junior and senior ranks in Melbourne and between his elite skills and natural athleticism, you’d struggle to find a more finely balanced player.
After featuring in the Blues leadership group last year, Watto has been consistently recognised by his teammates for his on and off-field leadership qualities. A leader by example, Watto inspires confidence in those around him and will give his heart and soul each week for the team. We are incredibly excited to have Watto lead the Blues in 2022 as Co-Captain alongside Duncan.

Simon is a true clubman and brings passion, a keen eye for the game and strong people skills to the League Head Coach role. He has an impressive coaching CV with over 10 years experience across a number of clubs and levels of football.
From junior clubs to WAFL development, as well as Colts coaching with South Fremantle Football Club, there isn’t much Simon hasn’t seen in the football world.
Simon has been with the Cottesloe Roosters since 2016 and his contribution in whichever role he steps into is of the highest calibre. Never was this more on display than when he stepped in as Blues Head Coach toward the end of the 2019 season and led them to four wins from five games, including a victory in the Earl Murphy Cup against our cross-town rivals, Mosman Park.
We are excited to see what Simon will achieve in his third full year at the helm as League Head Coach.
